Determining a fit
What kind of companies do you work with?
We work with ambitious companies building or improving digital products, brands and experiences. Our strongest experience is across Web3, fintech, gaming, AI, SaaS and emerging technology, but the underlying principle is simple: we work best with teams that care about quality and want design to have a real impact on the business.
What makes a good client fit for Aller Studio?
Good clients are usually teams with a clear business goal, an ambitious product and a willingness to collaborate. You don’t need to have everything figured out before contacting us. What matters is that you’re open to solving the problem properly rather than simply asking for a few screens or a prettier website.
Who is Aller Studio not a good fit for?
We’re probably not the right fit if you’re looking for the cheapest possible execution, unlimited revisions, or someone to simply follow instructions without questioning the problem. We work best when we’re trusted to bring expertise to the table.
What makes Aller Studio different?
We connect product design, branding, motion and development under one studio. That means we don’t just think about how something looks in Figma. We think about how the brand, product, website and technology work together as one experience.
Why work with a studio instead of hiring freelancers?
Because complex projects often need more than one discipline. Aller Studio gives you access to a coordinated team across design, branding, motion and development without having to manage several independent freelancers.
Why work with a studio instead of hiring full-time?
A studio gives you senior expertise without the long-term overhead of building an entire internal team. You bring us in when you need the expertise, momentum or capacity — and scale the engagement around the project.
What happens after I book a call?
We’ll discuss what you’re building, where you’re stuck, what you want to achieve and what kind of support you need. If we’re a good fit, we’ll define the recommended next step, scope and investment. No unnecessary sales process.
What types of projects do you take on?
We take on projects across product design, branding, websites, game UI, design systems, motion and development — from focused improvements to full digital experiences. The common thread is that the work needs to solve a meaningful business or product problem.
Scope
What do you actually help with?
We work across Product Design, Branding, Design Systems, Game UI, Motion Design, Web Design, No-Code Development, Frontend Development and Backend Development. The services can be used independently or combined depending on the project.
Do you design only, or can you also build?
Both. You can hire us purely for design or have us take the project from strategy and design through development.
Can you help with product strategy and UX, not just UI?
Yes. We can help define user flows, information architecture, product structure and experience decisions before moving into the visual design. The goal is to solve the experience first and make it look great second.
Can you handle brand, product and website together?
Yes. This is one of the advantages of working with Aller Studio. We can create the brand and then carry that system consistently into the website, product, marketing and other digital experiences.
Can you help with AI workflows or AI-built MVPs?
Yes. We can incorporate AI into the design and development process when it provides a real advantage — from product workflows to rapid MVP development. The technology should serve the product, not become the product strategy.
What if we already have developers?
That’s completely fine. We can work alongside your development team, provide the necessary design systems and specifications, and collaborate throughout implementation.
Can I hire Aller Studio for only one service?
Absolutely. You can hire us for a specific need — a website, product redesign, brand identity, Game UI system, design system or development project. You don’t need to buy the entire studio.
Can different services be combined into one project?
Yes. For example, a project could combine branding + website + product design + development. We’ll structure the engagement into clear phases so each discipline supports the next.
Can you work in phases instead of doing everything at once?
Yes — and we often recommend it. Starting with the highest-priority problem allows you to validate the direction before committing to additional phases.
Pricing
How much do you charge?
Every project is scoped individually. The investment depends on the complexity, deliverables, timeline and level of involvement required. Rather than selling hours, we define what needs to be accomplished and price the project around that scope.
How do you price projects?
We primarily work with project-based pricing. After understanding your goals and requirements, we’ll define the scope, deliverables, timeline and team required, then provide a clear investment.
How do your Product Sprints work?
A Product Sprint is a focused engagement designed to solve a specific product problem within a short timeframe. We define the objective and deliverables upfront, work intensively through the sprint, and finish with tangible design outcomes you can take into the next phase.
Is this a design subscription?
Not necessarily. We can work through focused sprints, fixed-scope projects or longer-term engagements. The model depends on what your product needs rather than forcing every client into the same subscription.
Can we start small?
Yes. If you’re not ready for a large engagement, we can start with a focused Audit, Sprint or clearly defined first phase. The project can then grow based on what we discover and what your business needs.
Can we start with an audit or sprint?
Yes. An Audit is useful when you need to understand what is wrong and where to focus. A Sprint is better when you already know the problem and want to move directly into solving it.
What happens if the scope changes?
If the project changes significantly, we’ll discuss the impact on deliverables, timeline and investment before doing additional work. No surprise invoices for scope changes.
What happens if we need additional work?
We’ll simply define the additional scope and agree on it before starting. This keeps both sides clear on what is included and what isn’t.
Do you offer fixed project pricing?
Yes. Once the scope is defined, we can provide a clear project investment so you know what you’re committing to before work begins.
Team & Process
How many people will work on my project?
Your team is assembled around the scope. You may work with one or several specialists across UX/UI, branding, motion, 3D and development. We keep teams lean so communication stays fast and decisions don’t get buried.
Who will I work with day to day?
You’ll work directly with the people responsible for the project. Depending on the engagement, that can include the studio lead, designers, developers or other specialists.
How do you communicate and manage work?
We use collaborative tools such as Slack, Figma and project management platforms depending on the project. The exact setup can adapt to your team’s workflow.
Can you work with our in-house team?
Yes. We’re comfortable joining existing product, design and development teams and working within established workflows.
Can you work inside our tools?
Yes. If your team already works in Figma, Slack, Notion, Linear or another platform, we’ll adapt where practical.
What do you need from us to start?
We need enough context to understand the business, product, users, goals and constraints. We’ll tell you exactly what we need before the project begins. You don’t need to prepare a massive brief just to have the first conversation.
How involved will I be during the project?
As involved as you want to be. We recommend regular checkpoints so you can provide feedback and make decisions without needing to manage every design detail.
How often will I see progress?
This depends on the project structure. For focused sprints, you’ll typically see work throughout the engagement rather than receiving everything at the very end. We’ll agree on the appropriate review points before starting.
How do feedback and revisions work?
Feedback is part of the process. We establish review points where you can provide consolidated feedback, then iterate based on the agreed scope. This keeps the project moving without endless revision cycles.
Who makes the final design decisions?
You own the final business decisions. Our role is to bring design expertise, challenge assumptions when necessary and recommend the strongest solution based on the project’s goals.
Legal & Ownership
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We’re happy to sign an NDA when your project requires confidentiality.
Do we own everything you design and build?
Yes. Once the agreed project has been fully paid for, ownership of the custom work produced for your project transfers according to the terms of the agreement. Any third-party assets, tools, licenses or pre-existing materials remain subject to their respective terms.
How do you handle third-party tools, fonts and licenses?
We make the relevant licensing requirements clear during the project. Third-party assets such as fonts, plugins, software or licensed content may have their own usage restrictions and costs.
Can you work with sensitive or unreleased products?
Yes. We regularly work with projects that are not yet public and can work under confidentiality agreements when required.
Will we receive the source files?
Yes. The agreed final design files and project deliverables are provided as part of the project handoff.
Who owns the code after development?
Ownership of custom code is transferred according to the development agreement once the project has been paid for. Third-party libraries, frameworks and open-source dependencies remain under their respective licenses.
Can we continue working with another developer after the project?
Yes. We don’t lock your product into Aller Studio. Our goal is to leave your team with the files, systems and documentation needed to continue developing the product.
Timelines
How fast can you start?
Start dates depend on our current project schedule and the scope of your engagement. Once we understand the project, we’ll let you know the earliest realistic start date.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on what we’re building. A focused sprint can take around 1–2 weeks, while a complete website, product, brand or development engagement can take several weeks or longer. We’ll establish the timeline before the project begins.
What can slow a project down?
The biggest factors are usually delayed feedback, changes in scope, missing content or assets, technical dependencies and decisions that require additional stakeholders. The faster decisions are made, the faster we can move.
Can you work on urgent launches?
Sometimes. If you have a fixed launch date, tell us upfront. We’ll evaluate the scope, available capacity and dependencies to determine whether we can realistically meet it. We’d rather tell you what is achievable than promise an unrealistic deadline.
Can you work with a fixed launch date?
Yes. We’ll work backwards from the launch date, identify the critical milestones and establish what needs to be approved and delivered at each stage. If the launch date is fixed, scope and decision-making need to be equally disciplined.
Can the timeline change during the project?
Yes, if the scope or project conditions change. If something affects the original timeline, we’ll communicate it as soon as we know and agree on the appropriate adjustment.
